Who do you listen to? Who do you go to when you need advice?
I think this is one of the biggest mistakes we make. Why is it that if we want advice on how to handle our money, we go to our broke relatives and friends?
If you want marriage advice, why go to someone who has been married and divorced 3 or 4 times?
If you want parenting advice, why go to someone with no children, or with children who have problems?

But most of the time, we seek out people who have no qualifications to give us advice and ask what they think we should do.
If you want to be successful, seek advice from successful people.
If you want financial help, seek advice from someone who is wealthy.

The book of Proverbs puts it this way:
Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.
Don’t try to do it on your own. Mentors and advisors can help you reach your goal faster, by helping you avoid mistakes. Just make sure you are getting advice from the right source!
